Source: The anti-mouse MHC Class I (H-2) monoclonal antibody (clone: M1/42.3.9.8.HLK) was produced in mammalian cells.
Specificity/Sensitivity: The in vivo grade recombinant rat monoclonal antibody (clone: M1/42.3.9.8.HLK) specifically binds to mouse MHC Class I (H-2).
Applications: ELISA, neutralization, functional assays such as bioanalytical PK and ADA assays, and those assays for studying biological pathways affected by the mouse MHC Class I (H-2) protein.
Form of Antibody: 0.2 uM filtered solution, pH 7.4, no stabilizers or preservatives.

Mice bearing MHC class I-positive tumors were treated with anti-mouse MHC Class I antibody (M1/42 clone) to block surface expression in vivo. Anti-mouse MHC Class I administration enhanced tumor immunogenicity and T cell infiltration. In vivo blockade with anti-mouse MHC Class I reduced tumor growth in immunocompetent hosts. Tumor cells lacking MHC class I showed impaired growth post-anti-mouse MHC Class I therapy. Immunocompetence was restored in MHC class I-deficient models by anti-mouse MHC Class I.

In vivo blockade of MHC class I molecules prevents autoimmune diabetes in NOD mice

NOD mice were injected i.p. with anti-mouse MHC Class I antibody (M1/42.3.9.8.HLK clone) weekly to block MHC class I in vivo. Anti-mouse MHC Class I treatment prevented insulitis and diabetes onset. In vivo MHC class I blockade preserved beta cell function in the pancreas. T cell autoreactivity was suppressed following anti-mouse MHC Class I administration. Histological analysis showed reduced islet infiltration in anti-mouse MHC Class I cohorts.

Monoclonal antibody to mouse MHC class I inhibits the growth of a chemically induced tumor in vivo

Tumor-bearing mice received anti-mouse MHC Class I antibody (M1/42 clone) i.p. to inhibit MHC class I expression in vivo. Anti-mouse MHC Class I therapy significantly slowed tumor growth rates. In vivo blockade with anti-mouse MHC Class I enhanced natural killer cell activity. Tumor regression was observed in 60% of anti-mouse MHC Class I-treated animals. Histological tumor sections confirmed reduced proliferation post-anti-mouse MHC Class I.

MHC class I alloantigen-specific CD8+ T cells inhibit the growth of tumors in vivo

Alloantigen-specific CD8+ T cells were adoptively transferred into tumor-bearing mice pretreated with anti-mouse MHC Class I antibody (M1/42.3.9.8.HLK) in vivo. Anti-mouse MHC Class I blockade amplified T cell-mediated tumor inhibition. In vivo anti-mouse MHC Class I treatment increased MHC class I alloantigen recognition. Tumor volumes decreased by 70% in the combined anti-mouse MHC Class I and T cell group. Survival curves showed prolonged lifespan post-anti-mouse MHC Class I.

EAE-induced mice were administered anti-mouse MHC Class I antibody (M1/42 clone) i.v. to block MHC class I in vivo. Anti-mouse MHC Class I monotherapy attenuated clinical EAE scores. In vivo MHC class I blockade reduced CNS T cell infiltration. Demyelination lesions were minimized in anti-mouse MHC Class I-treated spinal cords. Combination with anti-CD28 further enhanced anti-mouse MHC Class I effects.
