The mouse anti-human CD3 monoclonal antibody (clone No. UCHT1, mouse IgG1 kappa) reacts with the human CD3ε (epsilon) chain protein (T3 or cluster of differentiation 3) encoded by the human CD3E gene, a critical signal-transduction component of the T-cell receptor (TCR) complex. CD3 is expressed uniformly on all mature human T lymphocytes and plays an indispensable role in adaptive immune responses.
