Background
In vivo grade recombinant natural and engineered rat IgG2a Fc proteins (rtIgG2a Fc), and recombinant rat IgG2a isotype control antibody and mutants are available. Biotinylated rtIgG2a Fc, and rtIgG2a Fc with Avi-, His-, and Flag-tags are also available. The recombinant rat IgG2a Fc protein and mutants can be used as the isotype control of the rtIgG2a antibodies and the rtIgG2a Fc fusion proteins in various in vitro and in vivo experiments.
The in vivo grade recombinant rat IgG2a Fc protein (rtIgG2a Fc, Glu 98 - Lys 322 of the constant region of the IgG2a heavy chain, Accession # P20760) was produced in mammalian cells and purified by protein G. The rtIgG2a Fc protein includes the CH2 (115-212) and CH3 (221-317) domains of the heavy chain constant region as well as the hinge region (98-114) before the CH2 domain.
Molecular weight: Predicted 25.8 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the recombinant rat IgG2a Fc protein migrates to 32-35 kDa based on the Bis-Tris PAGE result.
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions
Endotoxin Level: Less than 1 EU/mg of protein as determined by LAL method.
Formulation: 0.2 μM filtered solution of 1x PBS.
Shipping: The in vivo grade recombinant rat IgG2a Fc protein is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
