Background
In vivo grade recombinant natural and engineered llama IgG2b Fc proteins (lIgG2b Fc), and recombinant llama IgG2b isotype control antibody and mutants are available. Biotinylated lIgG2b Fc, and lIgG2b Fc with Avi-, His-, and Flag-tags are also available. The recombinant llama IgG2b Fc protein and mutants can be used as the isotype control of the lIgG2b antibodies and the lIgG2b Fc fusion proteins in various in vitro and in vivo experiments.
The in vivo grade recombinant llama IgG2b Fc protein (lIgG2b Fc, Glu 1 - Lys 243 of the constant region of the IgG2a heavy chain, Accession # AAX73259.1) was produced in mammalian cells and purified by protein A. The lIgG2b Fc protein includes the CH2 (28-137) and CH3 (138-243) domains of the heavy chain constant region as well as the hinge region (1-27) before the CH2 domain.
Molecular weight: Predicted 27.3 kDa. Due to glycosylation, the recombinant llama IgG2b Fc protein migrates to 35-40 kDa based on the Bis-Tris PAGE result.
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions
Endotoxin Level: Less than 1 EU/mg of protein as determined by LAL method.
Formulation: 0.2 μM filtered solution of 1x PBS.
