MB121: Bst 2G DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment

The Bst 2G DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment, an engineered or mutated version of a part of Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA polymerase, has the 5’→3’ DNA polymerase activity and the strong strand displacement activity, but lacks the 5’→3’ exonuclease activity. The Bst 2G DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment can be used for loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), Rolling-circle amplification (RCA), DNA sequencing through high GC regions, and rapid sequencing from nanogram amounts of DNA template. The engineered Bst 2G DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment is optimized for LAMP with better amplification speed and yield, salt tolerance and thermostability than its wild type version.

Unit definition: One unit of the Bst DNA Polymerase, Large Fragment is defined as the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 25 nmol of dNTP into acid insoluble material in 30 minutes at 65°C.

Concentration: 8 units/ul.

The amplification or synthesis reagent concentrations, reaction conditions, and program parameters should be determined experimentally by the investigator.
