Introduction
Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21) is a growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. FGF family proteins play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of mamy tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF21 is a potent activator of glucose uptake on adipocytes, protects animal from diet-induced obesity when overexpression in transgenic mice, and lower blood glucose and triglyceride levels when therapeutically adiministered to diabetic redents.

A single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.2 kDa.
Purity: > 95.0% by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Filtered and lyophilized from 0.5 mg/ml in 20 mM TRIS, 20 mM NaCl, pH 7.5.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture. Add DTT (0.2 mM) and NaCl (0.1-0.15 M) before freezing to prevent potential aggregation.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
