Introduction
Interleukin-10 (IL10) is produced by murine T-cells following their stimulation by lectins. The main source for B-cell-derived Interleukin-10 in mice is Ly-1 B-cells that express CD5 and CD11. Murine keratinocytes also produce IL10. In humans IL10 is produced by activated CD8 (+) peripheral blood T-cells, by T-helper CD4 (+) T-cell clones (resembling Th0, Th1, and Th2) after both antigen-specific and polyclonal activation, by B-cell lymphomas, and by monocytes following cell activation by bacterial lipopolysaccharides and mast cells.

The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of MC/9 cells (mouse mast cell line) in the presence of 200 pg/ml IL-4, and is typically 0.3-1.5 ng/ml.
Purity: > 95% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The IL10 was lyophilized from 1 ug/ml in 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4 and 150 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-10 in sterile water not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
