Introduction
Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 2 (TIMP-2) complexes with metalloproteinases (such as collagenases) and irreversibly inactivates them by binding to their catalytic zinc cofactor. Known to act on MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-10, MMP-13, MMP-14, MMP-15, MMP-16 and MMP-19.

A single polypeptide chain containing 232 amino acids (27-220) and having a molecular mass of 26.1 kDa. TIMP2 is fused to a 38 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 85% by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The TIMP2 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15 M NaCl, 1 mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
