Description

The recombinant human TSH alpha (rhTSHα, rhTSH, trade name Thyrogen, Genzyme) is used to treat thyroid cancer. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (thyrotropin, TSH, hTSH for human TSH), synthesized and secreted by thyrotrope cells in the anterior pituitary gland, regulates the endocrine function of the thyroid gland by stimulating it to produce thyroxine (T4), and then triiodothyronine (T3) which subsequently stimulates the metabolism of almost every tissue in the body. The structure of TSH is similar to those of Luteinizing hormone (LH), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). The protein dimer contains 2 polypeptide units, named as alpha and beta subunits. The alpha subunits of LH, FSH, TSH, and hCG are identical, containing 92 amino acids. Their beta subunits vary. The TSH beta subunit (TSHB) with 118 amino acids is responsible for the specific interaction with the TSH receptor.

C023: Thyrogen Biosimilar Stable Cell Line (CHO)

The yield of Thyrogen biosimilar from the CHO stable cell line was above 250 mg/L in flask.

The Thyrogen biosimilar stable cell line alone can be transfered alone or together with the technology of process development and/or antibody purification.

Syd Labs also provides the following hormone biosimilar stable cell lines:
Luveris Biosimilar Stable Cell Line (luteinizing hormone, LH)
GONAL F Biosimilar Stable Cell Line (follicle-stimulating hormone, FSH)
Ovidrel Biosimilar Stable Cell Line (human chorionic gonadotropin, hCG)
