Introduction
SCGN is a secreted calcium-binding protein which is found in the cytoplasm. It is related to calbindin D-28K and calretinin. Secretagogin is involved in KCL-stimulated calcium flux and cell proliferation. Secretagogin plays a role in human non-functional pituitary adenomas.

Recombinant Rat Secretagogin (SCGN) protein is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 286 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 33.3 kDa. The Rat SCGN is fused to a 10 a.a. His tag at N-Terminus. The protein? amino acids sequence is identical to UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entry Q6R556. The Rat SCGN is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The sterile filtered concentrated protein solution was lyophilized with 20 mM Tris & 50 mM NaCl pH 7.5.
Reconstitution: Add deionized water to a working concentration of 0.5 mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
