Introduction
SCGN is a secreted calcium-binding protein which is found in the cytoplasm. It is related to calbindin D-28K and calretinin. Secretagogin is involved in KCL-stimulated calcium flux and cell proliferation. Secretagogin plays a role in human non-functional pituitary adenomas.

Recombinant Human Secretagogin (SCGN) protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 296 amino acids (1-276 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 34.2 kDa. Recombinant Human Secretagogin (SCGN) protein is fused to a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus and purified by standard chromatography techniques.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: SCGN His-Tag (1 mg/ml) protein is supplied in 20 mM Tris HCl pH 8, 1 mM DTT, 0.1 M NaCl and 10% glycerol.
