Introduction
Stem Cell Factor (SCF) is a hematopoietic growth factor that exerts its activity at the early stages of hematopoiesis. SCF stimulates the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors in bone marrow cultures and has been shown to act synergistically with colony stimulating factors.

Recombinant Human Stem Cell Factor (SCF) Protein is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 165 amino acids with a molecular mass of 18.4 kD.
N-terminal sequence analysis: Met-Glu-Gly-Ile-Cys.
Predicted molecular mass: 18409 Da.
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of Human TF-1 cells is less then 2 ug/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5.0 x 105 IU/mg.
Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 EU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 ug/ml) sterile solution containing 10 mM Acetic acid.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
