Introduction
Human Oxytocin stimulates uterine smooth muscle contractions indirectly and stimulates the mammary glands to increase lactation without increasing the production of milk.

A single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 9 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 1007.2 Dalton.
N-terminal sequence analysis: Cys-Tyr-Ile-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Leu-Gly-NH2.
1 mg of Oxytocin has activity greater than 480 IU/mg.
Purity > 98%, by RP-HPLC.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 ug/ml) solution with no additives.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Oxytocin in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
