Introduction
Interferon alpha-14 (IFNA14) is a member of the alpha/beta interferon family. IFNA14 is produced by macrophages (IFN-alpha have antiviral activities). The interferon stimulates the production of 2 enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.

A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 191 amino acids (24-189 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 22.4 kDa.
Purity > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: IFNA14 protein solution (0.5 ug/ml) containing 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 50% glycerol, 0.2 M NaCl and 2 mM DTT.
