Introduction
IFN-alpha is produced by macrophages and has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.

Source: Saccharomyces cerevisiae-derived.
A single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 165 amino acids and having a molecular mass of approximately 19 kDa.
N-terminal sequence analysis: Cys-Asp-Leu-Pro-Gln.
The specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay was found to be no less than 300,000,000 IU/mg.
Purity: > 98% by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated (1 ug/ml) solution in PBS, pH-7.4.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized glycosilated IFN alpha 2b in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
