Introduction
HTLV-1 is the etiological agent for Adult T-Cell Leukemia which encodes a 40kDa cell-transforming oncoprotein called Tax. HTLV-1 Tax protein sensitizes cells to apoptotic cell death induced by DNA damaging agents. Constitutive Activation of TAK1 by HTLV-1 Tax-dependent Overexpression of TAB2 Induces Activation of JNK-ATF2 but Not IKK-NF-kB.

Applications: Direct ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation. By direct ELISA (against recombinant gp24), 1:50,000 dilution will yield 0.5 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
Immunogen: r.HTLV TAX protein.
Purification: Ion exchange column.
Form of Antibody: 1ug/ml in PBS (after reconstitution).

Isotype: mouse IgG2a.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
