Introduction
Histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) is a member of the class 1 of the histone deacetylase/acuc/apha family. HDAC8 is biologically involved in skull morphogenesis and metabolic control of the ERR-alpha/PGC1-alpha transcriptional complex. Histones play a key role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation modifies chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA.

A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 383 amino acids (1-377) and having a molecular mass of 42.6 kDa. HDAC8 is fused to a 6 amino acid His-tag at C-terminus.
Purity: > 80% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The HDAC8 solution (0.25 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 20% glycerol, 0.1 M NaCl and 1 mM DTT.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
