Description

Introduction
Neuronal migration protein doublecortin, also known as doublin or lissencephalin-X is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DCX gene. Doublecortin (DCX) is a microtubule-associated protein expressed by neuronal precursor cells and immature neurons in embryonic and adult cortical structures. Neuronal precursor cells begin to express DCX while actively dividing, and their neuronal daughter cells continue to express DCX for 2?3 weeks as the cells mature into neurons. Downregulation of DCX begins after 2 weeks, and occurs at the same time that these cells begin to express, NeuN, a marker for mature neurons.

PA001480-A8337: Doublecortin (Phospho-Ser376) Polyclonal Antibody

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: Doublecortin (Phospho-Ser376) antibody detects endogenous levels of Doublecortin only when phosphorylated at serine 376.
Applications: IHC: 1:50~1:100 ELISA: 1:5000.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human Doublecortin around the phosphorylation site of serine 376 (P-T-SP-P-G).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
