Description

Introduction
DnaK, originally identified for its DNA replication by bacteriophage l in E. coli is the bacterial hsp70 chaperone. This protein is involved in the folding and assembly of newly synthesized polypeptide chains and in preventing the aggregation of stress-denatured proteins. Dnak(residues 508-638) of the substrate binding domain is a-helical and appears to act as a lid covering the substrate binding cleft. DnaK(amino acid 508-638) was purified to apparent homogeneity by using conventional column chromatography techniques. Additional amino acid (Met) is attached at N- terminus.

BP001983-HSP-070: Recombinant Mycobacterium Tuberculosis DnaK (HSP70) (DnaK) Protein

Source: E. coli-derived.
Recombinant Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Dnak protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 625 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 66.7 kDa.
Purity: > 95.0% as determined by (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC; (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The DnaK protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution containing 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer pH 7.4, 130 mM sodium chloride and 2.5 mM KCl.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized DnaK in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
