Introduction
Discoidin domain receptor family, member 1, also known as DDR1 or CD167a (cluster of differentiation 167a), is a human gene. Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) play a key role in the communication of cells with their microenvironment. These molecules are involved in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation and metabolism. The protein encoded by this gene is a RTK that is widely expressed in normal and transformed epithelial cells and is activated by various types of collagen. This protein belongs to a subfamily of tyrosine kinase receptors with a homology region to the Dictyostelium discoideum protein discoidin I in their extracellular domain. Its autophosphorylation is achieved by all collagens so far tested (type I to type VI). In situ studies and Northern-blot analysis showed that expression of this encoded protein is restricted to epithelial cells, particularly in the kidney, lung, gastrointestinal tract, and brain. In addition, this protein is significantly over-expressed in several human tumors from breast, ovarian, esophageal, and pediatric brain. This gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3 in proximity to several HLA class I genes. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
PA001418-A8240: DDR1 (Phospho-Tyr513) Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: DDR1 (Phospho-Tyr513) antibody detects ndogenous levels of DDR1 only when phosphorylated at yrosine 513.
Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000 IHC: 1:50~1:100 ELISA: 1:10000.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against ynthesized phosphopeptide derived from human DDR1 round the phosphorylation site of tyrosine 513 P-A-YP-R-L).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from abbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using pitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against on-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography sing non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the hosphorylation site.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered aline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, .02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
