Introduction
Collapsin response mediator protein-2 (CRMP-2) is an important brain-specific protein whose expression is restricted to the developing nervous system, especially in the distal portions of growing axons. It can promote the formation of axons by its ability to bind to tubulin heterodimers and enhance microtubule polymerization. CRMP-2 is known to exist as a dimer and dimerazation may be necessary for its activity. Although CRMP-2's role in development has been extensively studied, its role in the adult and diseased brain is less well understood.

Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human CRMP-2 around the phosphorylation site of threonine 509 (S-V-TP-P-K).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
