Description

Introduction
Claudin 3, also known as CLDN3, is a protein which in humans is encoded by the CLDN3 gene. It is a member of the claudin protein family. Tight junctions represent one mode of cell-to-cell adhesion in epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, forming continuous seals around cells and serving as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space. These junctions are composed of sets of continuous networking strands in the outwardly facing cytoplasmic leaflet, with complementary grooves in the inwardly facing extracytoplasmic leaflet. The protein encoded by this intron-less gene, a member of the claudin family, is an integral membrane protein and a component of tight junction strands. It is also a low-affinity receptor for Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin, and shares amino acid sequence similarity with a putative apoptosis-related protein found in rat.

PA001217-A8317: Claudin 3 (Phospho-Tyr219) Polyclonal Antibody

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: Claudin 3 (Phospho-Tyr219) antibody detects endogenous levels of Claudin 3 only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 219.
Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000 ELISA: 1:5000.
Reactivity: Human.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human Claudin 3 around the phosphorylation site of tyrosine 219 (R-K-D-YP-V).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
