Description

Introduction
Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CFTR gene. CFTR is a ABC transporter-class ion channel that transports chloride and thiocyanate[3] ions across epithelial cell membranes. Mutations of the CFTR gene affect functioning of the chloride ion channels in these cell membranes, leading to cystic fibrosis and congenital absence of the vas deferens.

Specificity/Sensitivity: CFTR (Ab-737) antibody detects endogenous levels of total CFTR protein.

Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized non-phosphopeptide derived from human CFTR around the phosphorylation site of serine 737 (R-L-SP-L-V).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
