Introduction
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor C, also known as Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 inhibitor, p18-INK4?, p18-INK6, CDKN2C, CDKN6, is a member of the INK4 family of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. CDKN2C contains 4 ANK repeats and interacts with CDK4 or CDK6. Highest levels of CDKN2C found in skeletal muscle and pancreas and heart. CDKN2C inhibits cell growth and proliferation with a correlated dependence on endogenous retinoblastoma protein RB and prevent the activation of the CDK kinases. Studies have been shown the roles of CDKN2C gene in regulating spermatogenesis, as well as in suppressing tumorigenesis.

A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids 1-168 and having a molecular mass of 20.7 kDa. CDKN2C is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by reducing SDS?PAGE.
Formulation: The CDKN2C solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 200 mM NaCl,
2 mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
