Description

Introduction
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor C, also known as Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 inhibitor, p18-INK4°C, p18-INK6, CDKN2C, CDKN6, is a member of the INK4 family of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. CDKN2C contains 4 ANK repeats and interacts with CDK4 or CDK6. Highest levels of CDKN2C found in skeletal muscle and pancreas and heart. CDKN2C inhibits cell growth and proliferation with a correlated dependence on endogenous retinoblastoma protein RB and prevent the activation of the CDK kinases. Studies have been shown the roles of CDKN2C gene in regulating spermatogenesis, as well as in suppressing tumorigenesis.

BP001129-C243: Recombinant Human Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4 Inhibitor C (CDKN2C) Enzyme

Source: E. coli-derived.
Recombinant Human Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4 Inhibitor C (p18-INK4°C) Enzyme is expressed with sequence (Met1-Gln168) of Human CDKN2C fused with a His tag at the C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin: < 0.1 ng/ug (1 IEU/ug).
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
