Introduction
Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 also known as CDK1 or cell division control protein 2 homolog is a highly conserved protein that functions as a serine/threonine kinase, and is a key player in cell cycle regulation. It has been highly studied in the budding yeast S. cerevisiae, and the fission yeast S. pombe, where it is encoded by genes cdc28 and cdc2, respectively. In humans, Cdk1 is encoded by the CDC2 gene. With its cyclin partners, Cdk1 forms complexes that phosphorylate a variety of target substrates (over 75 have been identified in budding yeast); phosphorylation of these proteins leads to cell cycle progression.
PA001123-A0469: CDK1/CDC2 (Phospho-Thr14) Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: CDK1/CDC2 (Phospho-Thr14) antibody detects endogenous levels of CDK1/CDC2 only when phosphorylated at threonine 14.
Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000 IF: 1:100~1:500 ELISA: 1:5000.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human CDK1/CDC2 around the phosphorylation site of threonine 14 (E-G-TP-Y-G).
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
