Introduction
CDCA8 is a component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC). The CPC complex has crucial functions at the centromere in ensuring accurate chromosome placement and isolation and is obligatory for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. In the complex, CDCA8 protein is needed to direct the CPC to centromeric DNA. Removal of CDCA8 delays mitotic progression and causes kinetochore-spindle to mis-attach.

Recombinant Human CDCA8 fused with a 21 amino acid His tag at N-terminus is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 283 amino acids (19-280a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 31.6 kDa. The CDCA8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The CDCA8 solution (0.25 mg/1 ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 50% glycerol, 1 mM DTT, 1 mM EDTA and 0.2 M NaCl.
