Background
P34(cdc2), also known as cell division cycle(CDC2), or cyclin-dependent kinase 1(CDK1). CDC2 is a catalytic subunit of a protein kinase complex, called the M-phase promoting factor, that induces entry into mitosis and is universal among eukaryotes. In HeLa cells CDC2 is the most abundant phosphotyrosine-containing protein and its phosphotyrosine content is subject to cell cycle regulation. CDC2 gene is located on chromosome 10.

Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, mouse, rat, rabbit, chicken. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 0.5-1 ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect p34cdc2 in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 1-2 ug/ml to detect p34cdc2 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Immunohistochemistry(F): At 1-2 ug/ml to detect p34cdc2 in formalin or acetone fixed tissues.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Chicken.
Immunogen: C-terminal two-thirds of Xenopus p34cdc2 expressed in E. coli.
Purification: Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography.
Form of Antibody: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2 mg BSA and 0.01 mg NaN3 as preservative.
Clone: IMD-34.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
