Introduction
Btc is a potent mitogen for retinal pigment epithelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells. The effects of beta cellulin are probably mediated by the egf receptor and other related receptors.

The BTC is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
The ED50 was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of mouse Balb/3T3 cells is < 0.01 ug/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of > 1.0?08 IU/mg.
Purity: > 95.0% as determined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in 1x PBS, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Recombinant Mouse BTC in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
