Introduction
NGF-beta has nerve growth stimulating activity and the complex is involved in the regulation of growth and the differentiation of sympathetic and certain sensory neurons. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy, type 5 (HSAN5), and dysregulation of this gene's expression is associated with allergic rhinitis.

A noncovalently disulfide-linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 identical chains of 120 amino acids each and having a molecular mass of 13,471 Dalton each.
The Mouse b-NGF activity was measured in a cell proliferation assay using a factor-dependent human erythroleukemic cell line, TF-1, the ED50 for this effect is 0.2 ug/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5 MIU/mg.
Purity: > 98% by SDS?-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: The Recombinant Mouse b-NGF was lyophilized without additives.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Murine NGF-beta in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
