Description

BeneFIX, recombinant coagulation factor IX, is used to treat hemophilia B. Lack of Factor IX (Christmas factor), one of the serine proteases of the coagulation system, causes hemophilia B, a recessive X-linked genetic disorder and about 20% of haemophilia cases.
