Background
The annexin superfamily consists of 13 calcium or calcium and phospholipid binding proteins with high biological and structural homology. Annexin-1 (ANXA1) is the frst characterized member of the annexin family of proteins able to bind to cellular membranes in a calcium-dependent manner which promotes membrane fusion and is involved in endocytosis. Annexin A1 has anti-infammatory properties and inhibits phospholipase A2 activity. Annexin A1 can accumulate on internalized vesicles after EGF-stimulated endocytosis, suggesting that it may be required for a late stage in inward vesiculation.Phosphorylation by PKC, EGFR and Chak1 results in inhibition of annexin A1 function. Annexin A1 has also been identifed as one of the ?at-me?signals on apoptotic cells to be recognised and ingested by phagocytes. Annexin A1, as an endogenous anti-infammatory mediator, has roles in many diverse cellular functions, such as membrane aggregation, infammation, phagocytosis, proliferation, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis and cancer development.
PA000081-R12-2488: Annexin A1 Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: Annexin A1 antibody detects endogenous levels of Annexin A1.
Applications: WB: 1:500~1:1000; ELISA: 1:10000.
Reactivity: Human.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Annexin A1.
Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit anti-serum by immunogenic peptide affinity-chromatography.
Form of Antibody: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
