Background
Tubulin is a major cytoskeleton component that has five distinct forms. a and b Tubulins form heterodimers which multimerize to form a microtubule filament. There are five β Tubulin isoforms (β1, β2, β3, β4A and β4B) that are expressed in mammalian tissues. β1 and β4 are present throughout the cytosol, β2 is present in the nuclei and nucleoplasm, and β3 is a neuron-specific cytoskeletal protein.

Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 2 ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect β-Tubulin in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 0.5-1 ug/ml to detect β-Tubulin in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues.
Reactivity: Human, Rat.
Immunogen: Tubulin from rat brain.
Purification: Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography.
Form of Antibody: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2 mg BSA and 0.01 mg NaN3 as preservative.
Clone: TUB-2.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
