Background
The troponin complex is located on the thin filament of striated muscle and is composed of 3 component polypeptides: troponin 1, troponin T and troponin C. Three troponin T genes have been described on the basis of molecular cloning in humans and other vertebrates. These are expressed in a tissue-specific manner and encode the troponin T isoforms expressed in slow skeletal muscle (TNNT1), cardiac muscle(TNNT2),and fast skeletal muscle (TNNT3). TNNT1, TNNT2, TNNT3 are located on 19q13.4, 1q32, 11p15.5 respectively.

Applications: Western blot: At 2-4ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect Troponin T in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 4-8ug/ml to detect Troponin T in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Immunohistochemistry(F): At 4-8ug/ml to detect Troponin T in formalin or acetone fixed tissues.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat, Rabbit, Chicken.
Immunogen: Troponin T from rabbit skeletal muscle.
Purification: Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography.
Form of Antibody: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2 mg BSA and 0.01 mg NaN3 as preservative.
Clone: TT-98.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
