Introduction
Transforming growth factor betas (TGF Betas) mediate many cell-cell interactions that occur during embryonic development. Three TGF Betas have been identified in mammals. TGF Beta 1, TGF Beta 2 and TGF Beta 3 are each synthesized as precursor proteins that are very similar in that each is cleaved to yield a 112 amino acid polypeptide that remains associated with the latent portion of the molecule.

The biological activity of TGFB3 is measured in culture by its ability to inhibit the mink lung epithelial (Mv1Lu) cells proliferation. ED50 is 40 ug/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 25,000 Units/mg.
Purity > 95%, by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 ug/ml) solution containing 50 mM Tris-HCl pH-7.4.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TGFβ3 in sterile 5 mM HCl & 50 ug/ml BSA at a concentration of 0.05 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
