Introduction
Trefoil Factor 2 (TFF2) is a member of the trefoil family and contains two P-type (trefoil) domains. Members of this family are characterized by having at least one copy of the trefoil motif, a 40-amino acid domain that contains three conserved disulfides. TFF2 is a secreted protein and specifically expressed in the stomach. TFF2 inhibits gastrointestinal motility and gastric acid secretion. TFF2 could function as a structural component of gastric mucus, possibly by stabilizing glycoproteins in the mucus gel through interactions with carbohydrate side chains.

A single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 116 amino acids (24-129) which includes a 10 amino acid His Tag fused at N-terminus and having a total molecular mass of 13.2 kDa.
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from 0.4 ?m filtered solution at a concentration of 0.5 ug/ml containing 20 mM Tris pH-7.5, and 20 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to add deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 ug/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Product is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
