Introduction
TFB1M is a member of the methyltransferase superfamily. TFB1M is a dimethyltransferase which methylates mitochondrial 12S rRNA at the conserved stem loop. The TFB1M protein also is part of the basal mitochondrial transcription complex and is required for mitochondrial gene expression. TFB1M stimulates transcription independently of the methyltransferase activity.

Recombinant Human Mitochondrial transcription factor B1 (TFB1M) protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 340 amino acids (28-346 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 38.8 kDa. Recombinant Human Mitochondrial transcription factor B1 (TFB1M) protein is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: TFB1M protein solution (0.5 mg/ml) containing 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 20% glycerol, 0.1 M NaCl and 1 mM DTT.
