Introduction
Regulator of G-protein signaling 21 (RGS21) belongs to the RGS family and regulatory molecules which act as GTPase activating proteins for G alpha subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins. The RGS21 protein inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits thus driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form.

Recombinant Human RGS21 protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 176 amino acids (1-152 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 20.2 kDa. RGS21 protein is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: RGS21 protein solution (1 mg/ml) containing 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT, 30% glycerol and 0.1 M NaCl.
