Introduction
RGS2 belongs to the RGS family which are regulatory molecules that act as GTPase activating proteins for G alpha subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins. RGS2 inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits and as a result driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form.

Recombinant Human RGS2 protein is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 231 amino acids (1-211a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 26.5 kDa. RGS2 protein is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The RGS2 protein solution (0.25 mg/ml) is formulated in 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 100 mM NaCl, 2 mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
