Introduction
PPME1 catalyzes the demethylation and inactivation of protein phosphatase (PP2A), a multimeric phosphoserine/ threonine protein phosphatase related to growth inhibition and cell cycle arrest. PPME1 can demethylate PP2A catalytic subunit in vitro and okadaic acid treatment can inhibit this reaction. It is conserved from yeast to human and holds a motif found in lipases having a catalytic triad activated serine as their active site nucleophile.

A single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 406 amino acids (1-386) and having a molecular mass of 44.4 kDa. The PPME1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus.
Purity: > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The PPME1 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT, 0.1 M NaCl and 20% glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
