Introduction
OAZ1 is a member of the ODC antizyme family. OAZ1 is auto-regulated expressed by polyamine-enhanced translational frame shifting. OAZ1 negatively controls polyamine synthesis by increasing the negative feedback loop regulating ornithine decarboxylase (ODC) activity. The OAZ1 protein inhibits ornithine decarboxylase and speeds up its detraction.

Recombinant Human Ornithine decarboxylase antizyme 1 (OAZ1) Protein is a single polypeptide chain containing 251 amino acids (1-228) and having a molecular mass of 27.8 kDa. Recombinant Human Ornithine decarboxylase antizyme 1 (OAZ1) Protein is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: >90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The OAZ1 solution (0.25 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15 M NaCl, 1 mM DTT and 30% glycerol.
