Background
Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y1 (NPY1R) is one of the most abundant neuropeptides in the mammalian nervous system and exhibits a diverse range of important physiological activities, including effects on psychomotor activity, food intake, regulation of central endocrine secretion, and potent vasoactive effects on the cardiovascular system.. Two major subtypes of NPY receptor (Y1 and Y2) have been defined by pharmacological criteria. NPY1R and NPY2R encoding mouse type 1 and type 2 neuropeptide Y receptors, have been mapped by interspecific backcross analysis. NPY1R is required for central physiological and pharmacological NPY-induced analgesia and that its activation is both sufficient and required for the release of substance P and initiation of neurogenic inflammation.
PA000187-PA1130: NPY1R Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody.
Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, mouse, rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 1 ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect NPY1R in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 1-2ug/ml to detect NPY1R in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Boiling the sections is required.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide mapping at the C-terminal of human NPY1R, identical to the related rat and mouse sequence.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Form of Antibody: Each vial contains 5 mg BSA, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4, 0.05 mg Thimerosal, 0.05 mg NaN3.
Isotype: Rabbit IgG.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
