Introduction
Myosin light polypeptide 6 (MYL6) is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein. MYL6 is composed of 2 heavy chains, 2 nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, and 2o phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL6 is a myosin alkali light chain which is expressed in smooth muscle and non-muscle tissues. MYL6 partakes in generating the force for cellular movements, thus having an imperative role in overall cellular function.

Recombinant Human MYL6 protein fused with a 20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 171 amino acids (1-151 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 19.1 kDa. The MYL6 protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Purity: > 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The MYL6 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1 mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
