Description

Background
Macrophage migration inhibitory factor, MIF, is a cytokine released by T-lymphocytes, macrophages, and the pituitary gland that serves to integrate peripheral and central inflammatory responses. MIF gene has 3 exons separated by introns of only 189 and 95 bp, and covers less than 1 kb. Localization of the human gene for macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) to chromosome 22q11.2 MIF plays a critical role in inflammatory diseases and atherogenesis.

PA000122-ANT-311: MIF Monoclonal Antibody

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody.
Applications: MIF antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:500 ~ 2,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:1,000.
Reactivity: Human.
Immunogen: Anti-human MIF mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with Recombinant human MIF amino acids 1-114 purified from E. coli.
