Introduction
Granulocyte/Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factors are cytokines that act in hematopoiesis by controlling the production, differentiation, and function of 2 related white cell populations of the blood, the granulocytes and the monocytes-macrophages. CSF-1 induces cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage. It plays a role in immunological defenses, bone metabolism, lipoproteins clearance, fertility and pregnancy.

A disulfide linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 156 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 36.4 KD.
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 indicator cells was found 0.91 ug/ml corresponding to 1,098,901 U/mg.
Purity: > 98% by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: The protein was lyophilized with 0.5xPBS, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized M-CSF in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
