Introduction
LCAT is an extracellular cholesterol esterifying enzyme, lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase. The esterification of cholesterol is required for cholesterol transport. LCAT is a essential enzyme in the extracellular metabolism of plasma lipoproteins.

A single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 426 amino acids (25-440) which includes a 10 amino acid His Tag fused at N-terminus and having a total molecular mass of 48.3 kDa.
Purity > 95%, by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: The LCAT protein was lyophilized from 0.4 ?m filtered solution at a concentration of 0.5 mg/ml containing 0.05 M Acetate Buffer pH-4.0.
Reconstitution: Add 0.1 M Acetate buffer pH4 to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely.
