Background
The integrin family includes cell surface receptors for extracellular matrix components as well as receptors involved in various aspects of leukocyte adhesion. Integrin alpha chain 4 (ITGA4) is assigned to 2q31-q32. Interaction between leukemic-cell VLA-4 and stromal fibronectin is a decisive factor for minimal residual disease of acute myelogenous leukemia.

Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, mouse, rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins.
Applications: Western blot: At 1-2ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect ITGA4 in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry(P): At 1-2ug/ml to detect ITGA4 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Boiling the sections is required. Immunocytochemistry: At 2-4?g/ml to detect ITGA4 in acetone fixed cell. Antigen retrieval by Pepsin and Trypsin is required.
Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal of human ITGA4, identical to the related rat sequence.
Purification: Immunogen affinity purified.
Form of Antibody: Each vial contains 50% glycerol, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4.
Isotype: Rabbit IgG.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
