Description

Introduction
Internalins are surface proteins located on Listeria monocytogenes. Internalins exist in two known forms, InlA and InlB. Internalins are used by the bacteria to invade mammalian cells via cadherins transmembrane proteins. The precise role of the Internalin proteins and their invasiveness in vivo is not entirely understood. However, in cultured cells, InlA is needed to facilitate Listeria entry into human epithelial cells. While InlB is required for Listeria internalisation in several other cell types, including hepatocytes, fibroblasts, and epithelioid cells.

BP002673-PRO-031: Recombinant Internalin Listeria monocytogenes (Internalin) protein

Source: Escherichia Coli-derived.
Internalin Listeria monocytogenes Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 374 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 42.7 kDa. The Internalin is fused with an 8 amino acid His tag at C-terminus.
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Internalin is lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered concentrated solution in 20 mM PB pH 7.4 and 300 mM NaCl.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Internalin in sterile 2XPBS not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Important note: If the concentration of NaCl is less than 150 mM, the protein solution becomes turbid overnight. Please always keep the concentration of NaCl more than 250 mM.

Shipping: The product is shipped with ice pack. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
Stability & Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.
1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
