Description

Introduction
IL20 is a cytokine structurally related to interleukin 10 (IL10). IL20 cytokine has been shown to transduce its signal through signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in keratinocytes. A specific receptor for this cytokine is found to be expressed in skin and upregulated dramatically in psoriatic skin, suggesting a role for this protein in epidermal function and psoriasis.

BP000146-CYT-347: Recombinant Human Interleukin-20 (IL-20) Protein

Source: E. coli-derived.
A single, non-glycosylated homodimeric polypeptide chain containing 2 x 153 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 35,212 Dalton.
N-terminal sequence analysis: Met-Leu-Lys-Thr-Leu.
The Biological Activity was determined by measuring the dose dependent activation of STAT3 in human epidermal keratinocytes (HEKa cells). Significant STAT3 activation is observed with 100 ug/ml of recombinant human IL-20 corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000 IU/mg.
Purity: > 95% by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.
Formulation: Lyophilized carrier free.
Reconstitution: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin-20 in sterile 18 M?-cm H2O at a concentration of 0.5 ug/ml or less.

Shipping: The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
