Background
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) also know as catabolin,is a cytokine protein that in humans is encoded by the IL1B gene, which localizes to the long arm of chromosome 2 at position 2q13-2q21 between two fragile sites. Interleukin 1 (IL-1) is a protein with several biological activities regulating host defense and immune responses.

Applications: Western Blot, immunohistochemistry intra-cellular staining and will also work in Direct ELISA and Immuneprecipitation. For intra-cellular staining, 10 ul per 106 cells. By direct ELISA, 1:10,000 dilution will yield >1.0 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
